CHILD ABUSE AWARENESS! April 24-29 and all month long
In collaboration with Calhoun County DSS, Calhoun County First Steps is hosting discussions on child abuse prevention while children enjoy fun-in-the-sun with parachute activities, story-time picnics, dodge ball and bubbles.
2ND ANNUAL LITERACY FAIR! April 27
The fair will be conducted for participating child development centers.

On April 3, 2017, nearly 200 preschoolers participated in a special event co-sponsored by First Steps, SC Early Childhood Association, and Newberry College’s Center for teacher education featuring children’s musician, Mr. Al.
Newberry child care centers will be presented with “Hey Ugly,” a book about self-esteem, and a Mr. Al CD for use in their classrooms.
