The person in this position will assist in carrying out goals, policies, and activities in implementing the Family Partnership Agreement, recruitment and enrollment, health and family engagement aspects of the Early Head Start (EHS) program according to the Performance Standards and written plans.  Ensure full enrollment of EHS classrooms by maintaining waiting lists for all childcare centers and assist families in obtaining and keeping child care subsidies.  Assist with recruitment efforts by encouraging families to enroll children, explaining the merits of Early Head Start to other agencies in the area, accepting and following up on referrals received.  Serve as an advocate between community resources and Early Head Start families.  Recruit volunteers and/or in-kind services and contributions for the Early Head Start program and maintain accurate records of volunteer hours and in-kind.  Complete Family Partnership Agreements on families and update throughout the program year as needed.  Assist families in setting and achieving goals towards self-sufficiency.  Ensure that enrolled children have a medical and dental home and are up-to-date on their schedule of well-child exams.  Notify Health Coordinator of concerns regarding a child or family’s health.  Maintain timely, proper, and precise documentation in children’s files and ChildPlus.  Adequately provide for confidentiality.  Confer with Education Coordinator regarding a child or family’s disability or mental health needs.  Attend case conferences as requested by families and/or staff.  Assist families with crisis situations through direct services or referrals.  Make home visits as necessary.  Participate in Pre-Service, In-Service, and other training opportunities as required.
